The region offers exceptional opportunities for nature and walking lovers. Just steps from our Quinta is the Ecovia do Vez, a 32 km walking trail along the Rio Vez. This path leads you to the village of Sistelo, listed among the 7 wonders of Portugal for its breathtaking terraced landscapes. In the opposite direction, the trail connects to Ponte da Barca, passing through the town of Arcos de Valdevez, placing you in the heart of a network of natural excursions. You might even spot the "Cachena" cows, small and sturdy, living year-round in the mountains, or wild horses typical of the region.  
At the Gates of Peneda-Gerês National Park  
Arcos de Valdevez is a gateway to Peneda-Gerês National Park. Just 11 km away, Porta do Mezio serves as a starting point for the famous GR50 hike, crossing the park. This site also offers picnic areas, educational trails, and a magnificent panoramic tower with breathtaking views of the Soajo mountains. Don’t miss the Baloiço do Mezio (giant swing), a popular spot to admire the rolling landscapes.
